Monserrate Palace in Sintra will organize a day dedicated to accessibility. On November 9th there will be a guided tour especially for wheelchair users.
Monserrate Palace Park can be explored by wheelchair using a wheelchair aid.
This initiative is part of the project “Parks of Sintra welcome you better” which aims to improve the accessibility conditions to the Park and Palaces guaranteed universal access to natural and built heritage. “Parks of Sintra welcome you better” has Turismo de Portugal, IP (funded 25% of the program) as partners ACAPO (Portuguese Association of Blind and Amblyopic), APS (Portuguese Association of the Deaf) and Salvador Association that participate as consultants.
All of these activities are supported by partner associations. The use of appropriate footwear and clothing is recommended. The visit may be canceled if weather conditions are adverse or adapted only to the interior of Monserrate Palace.
