O Palácio de Monserrate, em Sintra irá organizar um dia dedicado à acessibilidade. Durante o dia 21 de Abril  irão decorrer ao longo do dia visitas guiadas especialmente orientadas a cegos, surdos e pessoas em cadeira de rodas.


Esta iniciativa enquadra-se no projeto “Parques de Sintra acolhem melhor” que tem como objetivo melhorar as condições de acessibilidade aos Parque e Palácios garantido o acesso universal ao Património natural e construído. “Parques de Sintra acolhem melhor” tem como parceiros o Turismo de Portugal, IP (financiou 25% do programa) a ACAPO ( Associação de Cegos e Amblíopes de Portugal) APS (Associação Portuguesa de Surdos) e Associação Salvador que participam como consultores.

De manhã os visitantes cegos poderão cheirar, ouvir tatear os  sons, espécies botânicas e materiais das fachadas da palácio.  Também da parte da manhã será possível explorar o parque do palácio de Monserrate através de cadeira de rodas através de um equipamento  ajuda na tracção de cadeiras de roda manuais. À tarde os visitantes surdos também poderão visitar o palácio com um intérprete de Língua Gestual Portuguesa (LPG).

Todas estas actividades contam com o apoio das associações parceiras. Recomenda-se o uso de calçado e roupa adequada às condições meteorológicas. A visita poderá ser cancelada, caso as condições meteorológicas sejam adversas, ou adaptada apenas ao interior do Palácio de Monserrate.

Accessible Monserrate Palace

Located in the romantic town of Sintra, inserted in the Sintra – Cascais Natural Park, the Palace and Park offer visitors stunning gardens and an architecture that combines several influences. It is accessible to people with disabilities.
Since ancient times the village of Sintra has been known for having illustrious residents and visitors. From Portuguese  and foreign monarchs and foreign writers such as Oscar Wilde or Eça de Queiroz or Virgílio Ferreira were attracted by their bucolic landscapes associated with local vegetation and the local micro-climate.

It is in this context that the Monserrate Palace appears. It combines Gothic, Indian and Moorish influences, as well as exotic and vegetable motifs that extend harmoniously abroad.

The Monserrate Park has gardens with botanical species from the most varied regions of the World.

There are environmental awareness programs, programs for families and children.

Accessibility of the Monserrate Palace
The Sintra – Montes da Lua Parks, a municipal company responsible for the parks and palaces belonging to the city council, created the “Parques de Sintra Welcome Better” project with a view to making these spaces more accessible and inclusive.

In the last week of each month there are guided tours for people who are blind, deaf and wheelchair-bound.

In the Palace of Monserrate the disabled visitors have a 50% discount at the ticket office

Localizado na Romântica vila de Sintra, inserido no Parque Natural Sintra – Cascais, o Palácio e o Parque oferecem  aos seus visitantes Jardins deslumbrantes e  uma arquitectura que conjuga várias influências.É acessível a pessoas com deficiência.
A desde tempos antigos a vila de Sintra foi conhecida por ter residentes e visitantes ilustres. Desde monarcas portugueses e estrangeiros  escritores como Oscar Wilde ou Eça de Queiroz ou Virgílio Ferreira foram atraídos pelas suas paisagens bucólicas associada à vegetação local e ao micro-clima local.

É neste contexto que aparece o Palácio de Monserrate. Combina influências góticas, indianas e sugestões mouriscas, bem como  motivos exóticos e vegetalistas que se prolongam harmoniosamente no exterior.

O Parque de Monserrate possui jardins com espécies botânicas oriundas das mais variadas regiões do Mundo.

Existem programas de sensiblização ambiental, programas para famílias e crianças.  

 

Acessibilidades do Palácio de Monserrate

 

A Parques de Sintra – Montes da Lua, empresa municipal  responsável pelos parques e palácios pertencentes à câmara municipal,criou o projecto “Parques de Sintra Acolhem Melhor” com vista a tornar mais acessíveis e inclusivos estes espaços.

 

Na última semana de cada mês existem visitas guiadas destinadas para pessoas cegas, surdas e em cadeira de rodas.

 

No Palácio de Monserrate os visitantes com deficiência têm 50% de desconto na bilheteira

  • Cadeiras de rodas, disponíveis mediante reserva
  • Equipamento de tração para mobilidade de cadeiras de rodas manuais,

disponível mediante reserva

  • Mapa com indicação do percurso mais recomendado para pessoas com mobilidade condicionada, disponível na bilheteira
  • Serviço de intérprete de LGP, disponível na bilheteira através de vídeo-chamada (Serviço Serviin)
  • Lugares de estacionamento para pessoas com deficiência
  • Carro elétrico acessível em alguns percursos do Parque
  • Percurso inclinado até ao Palácio, possível de percorrer por pessoas com mobilidade utilizando o equipamento de tração ou transporte elétrico
